Terms & conditions

TutorKhoji is a directory service. We connect parents and students with tutors, and tutors with students. We do not employ tutors, deliver tuition, act as a school, or provide the lessons themselves.

Any tuition arrangement, including fees, schedule, syllabus and outcomes, is agreed directly between the tutor and the family. TutorKhoji is not a party to that arrangement.

• You must provide accurate, current information at registration and keep it updated.
• You must be at least 18 years old to create a tutor account. A student account is created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
• One person may maintain only one account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Tutor profiles are reviewed before appearing in parent search. Verification means we checked the submitted identity and qualification documents. It is not a background check, a criminal record check, or a guarantee of teaching quality.

We may request additional documentation, reject a submission, or suspend verification if information appears false. Verified status can be withdrawn.

Pack sizes and prices are set by the platform and may change. A price change never affects packs you have already bought.

• Credit packs are one-time payments, not subscriptions. Nothing renews automatically.
• Prices are in Indian Rupees and include all applicable charges at the point of purchase.
• Payment is handled by a third-party payment provider. We never receive or store your card or UPI credentials.
• Credits are added to your balance after a successful payment is confirmed.
• A failed or cancelled payment adds no credits and may leave a pending order record.
• Refund requests are handled under the refund policy.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading or fabricated profile information.
• Attempt to extract contact details by any automated means, or to reuse an unlocked contact for unrelated solicitation.
• Contact a person repeatedly after they decline, or contact anyone outside the agreed locality or subject scope.
• Solicit a user to transact outside the platform in a way that removes their protections.
• Harass, abuse or discriminate against anyone.
• Upload content that is illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Attempt to access another account, or probe the platform for vulnerabilities.

• You agree the fee, schedule, location or platform, and payment terms directly between yourselves.
• TutorKhoji does not verify that a session happened and does not mediate disputes over fees.
• Neither side should share sensitive personal information such as OTPs, card numbers or bank account credentials during a session.
• Parents remain responsible for the safety and supervision of a student in home-tuition arrangements.

Tutors, parents and students may refer other people to TutorKhoji using the referral code and link issued to them. A referral is recorded against the account that signed up with it, and each referred account keeps that single referrer for the life of the account.

• Commission is created only after the referred person completes the qualifying paid transaction successfully. Registering alone earns nothing.
• Commission is held for the configured holding period before it can be withdrawn, so that refunds and chargebacks can be identified.
• Commission is calculated as a percentage of the qualifying amount. Both the rate and the qualifying amount are recorded on each commission at the moment it is created.
• If the qualifying payment is refunded, cancelled, reversed or charged back, any commission that has not yet been paid out is reversed. Money already paid out is recorded as reversed and may be recovered.
• Referrals that appear artificial, duplicated, self-referred or otherwise suspicious are held for manual review and may be rejected. Review delays confirmation.
• Payouts are subject to the minimum payout amount, a saved and verified payout method, and administrator approval. We may withhold a payout while a referral is under review.
• Programme terms, including the commission rate, qualifying amount, holding period and payout rules, may be changed by TutorKhoji. Changes apply only to commissions created after the change; existing commissions keep the terms that applied when they were created.
• Referral earnings are not guaranteed. They depend on a third party completing a payment, passing a holding period and not being reversed.
• Self-referral, referring an account that uses your own email or phone number, or creating duplicate accounts to obtain commission is a breach of these terms.

TutorKhoji does not make income claims about the referral programme. Any figure shown on your earnings page describes your own recorded transactions, not a projection.

You keep ownership of the information you submit. You grant TutorKhoji a limited licence to display that information for the purpose of operating the marketplace — in search results, on your profile page, and inside your own dashboard. That licence ends when you delete the relevant content or close your account.

You confirm you have the right to submit everything you post, including a student's information where you are the parent or guardian.

We may verify profiles, hide listings from search, suspend accounts and block users. Typical reasons include a failed verification, materially inaccurate listing information, repeated reports, or a breach of these terms.

• Hiding a listing is reversible; it does not delete your account or your credit balance.
• Suspension temporarily disables the account pending review.
• Blocking permanently prevents the account from being used and removes it from search.
• Credit balances are not forfeited on suspension unless credits were obtained through abuse.
• Every moderation action is recorded with who took it and when.

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced to signed-in users before they take effect. Continuing to use TutorKhoji after that means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to the consumer protections available to you where you live.
